Responsibilities
- Development and construction of innovative connectors and electromechanical components for use in the automotive industry
- Design of functional and production-optimized plastic and metal components, in particular using Creo Parametric or other CAD tools
- Preparation of 3D models, drawings, change and variant designs in compliance with relevant standards and guidelines
- Review of requirement and functional specifications and ensuring compliance with technical and economic goals
- Analysis of test results and derivation of measures to optimize designs
- Support in technical coordination with internal and external partners, e.g. customers and suppliers
Your profile
- Completed degree in engineering sciences (e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering) or technician's degree with appropriate professional experience
- Experience in designing connectors and plastic injection-molded or metal stamped parts is desirable
- Profound knowledge of at least one 3D CAD system, ideally Creo Parametric, CATIA V5 or Siemens NX
- Additional knowledge in injection molding and punching/forming technology is desirable
- Good German and English language skills
- High level of initiative, structured working methods and the ability to work in a team
- Experience with development processes in the automotive sector, ideally in cooperation with OEMs
