engineer (m/w/d) Electrical engineering — commissioning of HVDC systems — Open Loop Control & AC Protection for Siemens projects

Responsibilities

  • You (m/f/d) are involved in carrying out and documenting the Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of C&P hardware and software including customer acceptance tests in our test center in Germany
  • You are responsible for planning, carrying out and evaluating workshop tests of C&P hardware at sub-suppliers (acceptance tests)
  • You are responsible for creating and carrying out test procedures for the AC Protection and Open Loop Control systems
  • You are responsible for the technically flawless, timely and economic implementation of HVDC/HVDC systems on site (worldwide)
  • You support IBS management in quality, risk and claim management
  • You take part in improvement programs (including lean, reviews and lessons learned)

Your profile

  • Completed training as a technician (m/f/d) or degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable training/qualification
  • Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Network Protection Systems/Protection Relays & BCU (DIGSI/Siprotec V4/5); testing via MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC.
  • Knowledge or ideally professional experience in the area of electrical energy supply and commissioning of electrical systems or HVDC systems
  • Knowledge of current and voltage converters and other primary components
  • Good German and English language skills
  • Mobility/readiness for business trips and mostly long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad as well as optionally on offshore platforms
  • You are a team player, communicative, show initiative, positive handling of conflicts and the ability to make decisions
