Responsibilities
- Assessment of the effects of flexibility upgrades on HRSG fatigue of existing combined cycle power plants (CCPP)
- Supporting HRSG fatigue assessment and optimizing designs for new CCPP projects
- Participation in projects for online monitoring of fatigue states (Fatigue Monitoring System, FMS)
- Create 3D models for HRSG components
- Carrying out combined transient thermal and mechanical FEM simulations for stress calculation
- Fatigue ratings in accordance with EN 12952-3
- Working with start-up curves of power plants
Your profile
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, computational engineering, energy technology or mechatronics
- Experience with FEM software, preferably ANSYS Mechanical, as well as 3D CAD modeling
- Basic knowledge of HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators)
- Knowledge of current norms and standards such as EN 12952 and ASME
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and MATLAB is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of materials science, welding technology, mechanical processing and component sizing is an advantage
- Knowledge of power plant products and components as well as the market for industrial power plant and cogeneration solutions is an advantage
- Good German and English language skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
