CAD Designer (m/w/d) - Special machine construction

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining 3D models and assemblies (detailed and assembly designs) with a focus on metal construction, including layouts for special machines
• Derive and create production-ready 2D drawings with tolerances, parts lists and manufacturing documents
• Design of mechanical components (bearings, shafts, gears, guides, hydraulic/pneumatic installations)
• Perform tolerance, strength, and collision tests
• Analyze design tasks and carry out FEM calculations accompanying the design
• Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly and external customers and suppliers to clarify technical issues
• Supporting technical documentation
• Change management, document design changes and maintain version levels as well as maintain master data and trigger orders
• Participation in construction reviews, design FMEAs and project meetings
• Develop prototypes
• occasional business trip to customers for concept clarificationCAD modelling, change and variant design and standard-compliant drawing preparation
• Coordination with internal and external project partners
• Technical documentation

Your profile

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or comparable
• At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design
• Solid Works knowledge
• Basic knowledge of heating technology and designing and calculating ovens is desirable
• fluent written and spoken German language skills
• English language skills are an advantage
